What is Online Bluesky Post Generator?

Bluesky Post Generator creates a screenshot-style image of a Bluesky post from whatever you type. The display name sits next to the @handle and the time, the avatar on the left, your text underneath with links and mentions in blue, then the photos and the row of reply, repost, like, bookmark and share buttons.

Bluesky has grown into a home for writers, scientists, artists and journalists, and its posts are showing up in slides, newsletters and articles. When you want that look without quoting a real account — for a presentation about decentralised social media, a design comp, a classroom handout or a gag for your group chat — this gives you a clean image in seconds, with no account and nothing uploaded.

Handles, Domains and the Three Themes

On Bluesky a handle can be the default name.bsky.social or your own domain, such as @nytimes.com. Type either into the Handle field. The verified option adds the blue check Bluesky gives to notable accounts, and "Reposted by" adds the grey line seen on posts boosted into a timeline. Bluesky offers three looks, and so does the tool: Light, the dark-blue Dim and pure-black Dark.

Image Layouts

A single image keeps its own proportions. Two images sit side by side, three get one tall image on the left and two stacked on the right, and four form a 2 × 2 grid — the same arrangements the Bluesky app uses, with each photo cropped to fill its cell.

How to use Online Bluesky Post Generator?

  1. Write the post. A line with only --- starts the next post of a thread by the same account.
  2. Add up to four images and set the time label.
  3. Fill in the display name and handle, upload an avatar, and add the verified check or a "Reposted by" name if you want them.
  4. Enter the reply, repost and like counts and mark the post as liked or reposted by you.
  5. Choose Light, Dim or Dark, then click "Export Post" to save a PNG or copy it.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a character limit?

Real Bluesky posts are limited to 300 characters, but the tool lets you go further so you can mock up long threads or test layouts. If you want a realistic post, keep each part under 300.

What do the green and pink buttons mean?

They show your own interaction. "Reposted by You" colours the repost arrows green and "Liked by You" fills the heart in pink, matching what you see after tapping them in the app.

Does it work with custom domain handles?

Yes. The handle is free text, so a domain handle like @studio.example.com is shown exactly as typed, and long handles are cut with an ellipsis when they run out of room.

What resolution does it export?

The card is 600 pixels wide and is exported at 2×, giving a 1200-pixel-wide PNG that stays sharp in documents and on high-density screens.
