Reddit Post Generator

What is Online Reddit Post Generator?

Reddit Post Generator is a free tool for making a Reddit post as an image, in the two forms people actually need. One is the post itself as it looks on Reddit today — subreddit and icon, username, time, flair, title, text, an optional picture, and the row of rounded buttons for votes, comments, awards and sharing. The other is the Reddit story card: the white title card that opens the "Reddit story" videos on TikTok, YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.

The Reddit Story Card

A Reddit story video has a fixed shape. A narrator reads a post out loud — usually from r/AskReddit, r/AmItheAsshole or r/TIFU — over gameplay or satisfying footage, and for the first few seconds, while the title is being read, the post's title sits on screen in a card with the poster's name, a few award badges and the like and comment counts. That card is what makes a viewer recognise the format before they have heard a word.

Switch the Style to "Story Card" and the tool draws it at a size that suits a 1080 × 1920 video, on a transparent background. Keep the title to two or three lines so it stays readable on a phone, line the card up with the top third of the frame where it does not fight the captions, and cut it when the narrator finishes reading the title. Light and dark versions are both available, since the dark one sits better over darker footage.

How a Reddit Post Is Put Together

• r/ and u/. Communities are always written with r/ and people with u/. The tool adds both, so type the names without them.
• Time. Reddit writes it in short form — "5 hr. ago", "1 day ago", "3 mo. ago" — next to the subreddit name.
• Flair. The small rounded tag above the title, set by the subreddit: "Serious", "Discussion", "Update" and so on. Most are grey, some subreddits colour them.
• Title. Reddit allows up to 300 characters, and the tool has the same limit. Questions and confessions do best in two lines or fewer.
• Votes. The score sits between the up and down arrows, abbreviated over a thousand as 12K or 1.4K. When you have upvoted, the whole vote button turns orange-red; when you have downvoted, it turns purple.
• Join. The blue button that appears next to communities you have not joined yet. Untick it to make the post look like it comes from your own feed.

How to use Online Reddit Post Generator?

1. Choose the Style: "Reddit Post" for a screenshot of a post, "Story Card" for the title card of a video. Pick light or dark.
2. For a post, set the subreddit and its icon, the username, time and flair, then write the title and the body text. Add a picture if the post is an image post.
3. Set the score and the number of comments, and mark the post as upvoted or downvoted if you want the coloured vote button.
4. For a story card, set the username and avatar, the number of award badges, the title and the like and comment counts.
5. Click "Export" to download a PNG or copy it to the clipboard.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the new Reddit design or old Reddit?

The new one, which Reddit rolled out across the site in 2023: rounded pill buttons, the score inside the vote button, and the subreddit, time and username stacked at the top. Old Reddit, with its arrows down the left-hand side, is still available on old.reddit.com but is not what most people see.

Can I make an image post?

Yes. Upload a picture under "Post Image" and it appears under the title in a rounded frame, shown in full rather than cropped. Leave the body text empty if the post is only a picture, as most image posts are.

What size is the story card?

It is exported about 840 pixels wide, which is roughly three quarters of the width of a vertical 1080-pixel video — the size these cards usually appear at. The height follows the length of the title. The post is exported at 1280 pixels wide.

Are the awards on the story card Reddit's real awards?

No. They are generic coloured badges that read as awards at a glance, which is all a title card needs. Reddit's own award system has changed several times, and the badges in these videos are decoration rather than a record of anything.

Do I need a Reddit account?

No. Nothing is posted to Reddit and there is no login. The post is drawn in your browser and the images you upload stay on your device.

Usage Policy

Many Reddit story videos are fiction, and making a card for a story you wrote is fine. Making a post that appears to come from a real user or a real community, to put words in their mouth, start a rumour or "prove" something happened, is not. By using Reddit Post Generator by 10015.io you agree not to use it that way, and that 10015.io is not responsible for what is made with it.
