Wrapped
What is Online YouTube Wrapped?
YouTube Wrapped turns your YouTube watch history into a year in review: how many videos you watched, your channel of the year and the next four, the videos you watched again and again, the hour and the day you watch most, your biggest day, your streak, your top searches and, if you use YouTube Music, your top artists. Every result is a 9:16 story card.
YouTube Music has a Recap, but YouTube itself has no Wrapped for the videos you watch. This one reads your history from Google Takeout in your browser: nothing is uploaded or stored.

What Is in Your Wrapped
- Videos: how many, a day on average, and from how many channels.
- Channel of the year: the one you watched most, then the next four.
- On repeat: the videos you watched more than once.
- Time: your YouTube hour, your day of the week and how much after midnight.
- Biggest day and streak: the most videos in a day and the most days in a row.
- YouTube Music and searches: your top artists and what you searched for most.
How to use Online YouTube Wrapped?
- Export your YouTube history from Google Takeout as JSON: the “How do I download my YouTube data?” button shows every step.
- Drop the Takeout .zip, or watch-history.json, on the page.
- Pick the year.
- Go through the cards, then download one, download all of them as a ZIP, or copy one to paste in a story.
Frequently asked questions
Is my watch history uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and counted in your browser, and the cards are drawn there too. Nothing from it is sent to our servers or anywhere else.
Why doesn’t it show hours watched?
Google’s file lists the videos you opened and when, but not how long you watched them, so YouTube Wrapped counts videos rather than guessing hours. Ads are left out.
My Takeout file is in HTML
Takeout gives the history as HTML unless you choose otherwise. An HTML file from an account in English can be read; for other languages, request it again with History set to JSON under “Multiple formats”.
Is it made by YouTube?
No. It is an independent tool that reads Google Takeout’s standard file; it is not made by, or connected to, YouTube or Google. See your Netflix Wrapped and TikTok Wrapped too.
