Frequently asked questions

Which cases can I convert to?

Sentence case, title case, uppercase, lowercase, mixed case and inverse case. Each one is applied the moment you pick it, and the Apply button reruns it if you edit the text afterwards.

Why does the language setting matter?

Because case rules are not universal. Turkish has a dotted and a dotless i, so uppercasing "i" correctly gives "İ" rather than "I"; German, Dutch and several other languages have their own quirks. Picking the right locale is what stops those letters being mangled.

Does it change anything other than the letters?

No. Punctuation, spacing and line breaks are left exactly as they were — only letter case changes. If the text also has messy spacing, run it through the Multiple Whitespace Remover first.

Is my text sent to a server?
